Horsing Around TownI've found it's important to just let go sometime and not completely focus on photography as an art form and a passion. What I mean is that in the past, I've been afraid to show work because I've felt that it was less than stellar. A pixel here or a pixel there that was out of place would make me cringe. I became obsessed with perfection down to the pixel level. It made me too focused on photography at such a small scale that I had to really take a step back and take a good look at why I got into photography in the first place. Enter my friends Rich and Courtney. Rich has recently picked up a new camera which I'm fairly envious of. We took it out for a spin around our small town and got some good images out of it. It was a lot of tun just shooting, and getting back into shooting for the sake of shooting and figuring out the buttons on the new camera, enjoying friendship and horsing around. I have to keep in mind that at the end of the day, I photograph for people; whether that is for myself or for others, the people come first.
